NAHMA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Ladysmith, Wisc. woman is dead after an ORV crash in the Hiawatha National Forest Sunday afternoon.
Around 3:15 p.m., Michigan State Police – Gladstone Post troopers were called to 28 Rd. about a quarter mile west of Highway 13 in Delta County, north of Nahma Junction, for a single-vehicle ORV crash with life-threatening injuries and CPR in progress.
Tri-Star EMS and Rampart EMS continued life-saving measures when they arrived on the scene, but the 57-year-old woman did not survive. MSP says she was the passenger on the ORV. The driver, a 53-year-old man from Rapid River, was identified as her brother-in-law.
The incident remains under investigation.
