Do you remember when Yoda the Tortoise went missing in Manistique back in March? Well – it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Tonight on What’s UP with Megan, we are celebrating Yoda’s first book, “Yoda’s Yooper Adventure!”
“Yoda’s Yooper Adventure” is a heartwarming story that captures the imagined journey of Yoda during the 72 hours he went missing.
Authored by Sarah Jean Adolphus and edited by Alicia Vargo, “Yoda’s Yooper Adventure” takes readers on a captivating trek through the woods of the U.P. Yoda’s tale of getting lost, finding new friends, and ultimately reuniting with his family, is brought to life with illustrations by local artist Mary Weber. The book also includes a dedication page to honor the community members who helped in the search for Yoda.
The launch event will take place at Power of 10 Retail in Manistique on Saturday. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., visitors can meet Yoda and purchase a copy of his adventure.
In addition to the book signing, Power of 10 Retail will also offer an array of items for sale, including soaps, throw blankets, and candles.
