MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Marquette-Alger RESA will host its UP Wellness Task Force event next Thursday, May 23. These events invite organizations like Marquette Area Public Schools, UP Health, and other community-driven businesses to discuss updates and form new ideas on how to best serve the students.
Marquette-Alger RESA says there’s already a great deal of dedication to the future generations here in the UP, and these events help to open up new possibilities in the educational industry.
“That’s when we break down the silos that’s when we’re able to really maximize the work that’s being done, that’s where we are able to identify what overlaps exist what gaps exist, and what kind of things we can focus on together as a community to address this issue as one unified force as opposed to separate individuals,” commented Marquette-Alger RESA Director of MTSS Jon Young.
The UP Wellness Task Force meeting is Thursday, May 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Northern Center on Northern Michigan University’s campus. Click here for more information on registration for the upcoming event.
