MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – As the warm weather rolls around, outdoor summer programs are looking for people to sign up. Through the 906 Adventure Team, its Youth Adventure Team program gives kids ages 5-17 the chance to learn trail riding and running in the summer, from June until August. For the Youth Summer Program, each student will be provided with equipment, and this year will introduce running to the program as well.
Since 2014 and starting with just 5 students and 1 coach, 906 Adventure Team have built a culture around individual growth and competition. Now in over 10 communities across Michigan and Wisconsin, the Youth Adventure Team has grown to teach over 1000 students with over 500 coaches.
“At the same time that we’re focusing on biking skills, every week we’re also focusing on foundational character development skills. In this setting, each child can experience success every week and it does not limit the other’s experience with success they’re actually celebrating it,” commented 906 Adventure Team Director.
Registration for the summer program opens on May 4th, click here to find more information on the 906 Adventure Team.
