MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum’s Second Thursday’s Creative Series this week is bringing things down to the little guys. The week’s theme is “Creepy Crawly Critters”. They got to enjoy culvers custard with gummy worms or what they called ‘mud-cups’, hands-on craft activities and even some singing.
These Second Thursday events have been a time for families to join in on the fun, and give kids the chance to get as creative as they want with the theme of that week.
“Over a decade we’ve been having a second Thursday of the month program all about creativity live music, which children will always get up close to, we’ve got craft activities going on. I really want children to have the opportunity to pretend,” commented the UP Childrens Museum Education Coordinator Jim Edwards.
Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:30, the UPCM and the Ore Dock will host its 3rd Annual Baby Bear, just before the Angry Bear Fest on Saturday.
