MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – 65 vendors are lining the field at the superior dome this weekend for the U.P. Boat, Sport, and RV Show.
Thousands of boats, campers, and bikes are marked down in price and ready to ride away at the Superior Dome. Vendors have come from all over the midwest to show off their inventory and make sales.
“We are gonna have a lot of new products out today as well, it’s gonna lead to some big sales,” said Alex Franseca, a Sales Representative for Milwaukee Tools.
The show has vendors that come back year after year, and new faces. Yooper Toons, a floating sauna business started in Negaunee, is making their first appearance at this year’s show.
“This ones actually our prototype, we’re gonna bring it to Teal Lake and rent it out, but we are taking orders for customization,” remarked Ann Kantola the Co-Owner of Yooper Toons.
It isn’t all selling and buying at the show, midway rentals brought a contest to the show that put attendees skills to the test. A timed challenge to change a tire had spectators lining up to try and win a prize.
“We got the tire challenge over there, so if you beat 40 seconds you win a sawzall or an impact socket kit,” added Franseca.
Vendors know that the customer base at the show mostly consists of up residents. The inventory brought with them reflects that.
“A lot here that we are going to sell is directed at the camping space and the boat space,” commented Franseca.
As summer approaches there’s no better place to get equipped to enjoy the outdoors than at the Superior Dome this weekend.
The show continues throughout the weekend, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
