NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A statewide need for Michigan troopers is bringing Coming up next Thursday at Bay College in Escanaba, recruiters from Lansing will be hosting a hiring event to train more troopers.
The Michigan State Police is hiring troopers all over the state in response to a statewide shortage of uniforms. This session is limited to 20 applicants.
The event will give those looking to enter law enforcement a better understanding of how the application process works and an overview of what the testing looks like later on.
“There’s a lot of information out there on the web where you can find out what it’s like to be a trooper but these are going to be people right there on scene that you can ask those real intimate personal questions on what it’s really like to what is a career in the Michigan State Police, what does it look like what does it feel like those people will be there,” commented Lt. Mark Giannunzio.
The event runs from 10 AM to 2 PM on Thursday, March 21st.
