MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A leading underground mine in Marquette is seeking skilled miners to join its workforce. At the Ramada Inn on Thursday, Eagle Mine held a job fair opening up work opportunities in mine drilling with the mine contractors, MJ Van Damme and SGS Labs.
The job fair allowed eager workers to learn about mine operations, meet with hiring managers as well as get a chance to take part in on-spot interviews.
“People who are interested in maybe something they’ve never really known anything about to be able to walk in and speak to somebody directly ask them questions about what’s going on and find out where they fit in is a great opportunity for me and for us, ” Jessica Sandstrom Eagle Mine Health and Safety Manager.
