MARQUETTE, Mich, (WZMQ) – Marquette food truck “Burger Bus” opened a brick-and-mortar location “Laker’s” off of US-41 in Marquette Township on Saturday.
Laker’s serves not only its signature burgers but now also has pizza on the menu, which Laker’s Owner Alayna Prahl said the chef has wanted to do for a long time, but lacked the space.
Prahl also assured customers that even though it has a permanent location now, the Burger Bus isn’t going anywhere.
“We’re definitely going to run the bus in the summertime,” said Prahl. “The bus is a hit. There’s something nostalgic about getting a burger from a bus, and we are definitely going to continue that tradition as long as we can. “
Laker’s is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Prahl said they plan to expand the menu in the future once they get settled in.
