MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Two Marquette historians are hitting the stage to share some hidden history of Marquette.
Jim Koski and Jack Deo are back with “Legends & Lore with Jack & Jim,” a presentation telling the stories of Marquette County’s 170+ year history.
As part of the fundraising series for the Marquette Regional History Center, the historians will present a wide variety of stories from prison breakouts to an NBA game played here in the Upper Peninsula.
Jim noted that over the years he and Jack have accumulated so many stories that this upcoming show doesn’t fit any one genre of history.
“Think of this show as kind of like a smorgasbord a Buffett of little history tidbits, and I’ll be talking about everything from Marquette’s first radio station to some old grocery stores to– believe it or not– an NBA game that was once played in Negaunee,” said Koski.
The presentation begins on Thursday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kaufman Auditorium.
