GWINN, Mich. (WZMQ) – On January 8th, 2023 at around 7:40 AM. the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on M-553 near M-94, in Sands Township.
A 21-year-old Gwinn resident was traveling north on M-553 when a deer ran out and struck her vehicle.
A second vehicle following driven by a 74-year-old Rock man hit the deer, causing him to veer off the roadway and crash into multiple trees.
The vehicle crash is being investigated.
The Forsyth Township Police, Forsyth Township Fire/EMS, UP Health Systems Marquette, and Heavy Hooker Wrecker Service all assisted Marquette County Sheriff’s Deputies on the scene.
