LANSING, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Michigan State Capitol Building is currently on lockdown following a bomb threat emailed to a general account for the Michigan State Capitol Commission around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday morning according to Michigan State Police.
The Capitol building was evacuated and MSP currently has canine teams sweeping the building. According to the MSP the Capitol will remained closed for the rest of the day out of an Abundance of Caution.
The Michigan State Police says they are aware of similar threats made against government agencies across the country.
