NEGAUNEE, Mich, (WZMQ) – Razor Axe Marquette’s grand opening is on Friday at 3p.m.
The grand opening will include throwing axes, knives, stars, cards, and even a battarang.
Beer and soft drinks will be served during the grand opening and cornhole will be available for anyone not throwing axes.
Razor Axe’s original location is Green Bay, but they are opening the second location with the help of a local.
The new location’s owner Jacob Truttmann said axe throwing is part of Yooper heritage.
“Most Yoopers, true Yoopers, somewhere along their native lines there a lot of them were swinging axes back in the day,” said Truttman. “it runs in the Yooper blood.”
Razor Axe Marquette hopes to be able to expand outdoors with food and lawn games this summer.
