KINGSFORD, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Thursday, the city of Kingsford transformed the Armory into a festive spectacle, hosting its much-anticipated annual Christmas tree lighting. Attendees were treated to a magical evening that included enchanting performances by Woodland Elementary’s charming choir and the lively band from Kingsford High School. Santa Claus made a surprise appearance, spreading joy and holiday cheer, and leading the tree lighting ceremony.
Adding to the excitement, the Centennial Committee organized a thrilling 50/50 raffle, offering participants a chance to win big. Raffle tickets, priced at $5 each, were available for purchase at City Hall leading up to the drawing scheduled for December 18th. The anticipation was palpable as attendees eagerly secured their chances for a holiday windfall, and tickets are still available until the prize winner is drawn.
The event saw the active involvement of key community partners. The Dickinson-Iron Health Department, Dickinson Conservation District, and Grede Manufacturing joined the festivities, enhancing the sense of community spirit. Together, they contributed to making this year’s Christmas tree lighting a memorable celebration for all.
