MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A local cannabis retailer in the UP is helping stock food for the season. Higher Loves Holiday Food Drive has partnered with United Way at all locations helping to end food insecurities. From now until the end of December, the community can stop in with three or more food donations or a $15 donation to receive a free promo item.
As the newest Higher Love location this year and along with the food drive, the Menominee store is partnering with Abundant Life Mission, Suicide Prevention Network of Marinette & Menominee, M&M Veterans in Need, Menominee Mid County Ministerium Food Pantry, and United Way. Higher Love will also be donating $2,500 to all 5 of these charities and matching all customer donations.
“You get a fun promo item that is an incentive for 21 and up. If you come in and say “oh my god I didn’t know I had to bring canned items” or you are empty-handed you can also donate 15 dollars cash which is the equivalent and still get the promo,” said Higher Love Marketing Director Taylor Busch-Anderson.
