The annual Teddy Bear Toss takes place Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Northern Michigan University- Michigan Tech University hockey game at the Berry Events Center in Marquette. It’s hosted by the NMU Student Athlete Advisory Committee and the Mining Journal Cheer Club.
During the first intermission, fans are encouraged to toss a stuffed animal onto the ice. All the stuffed animals will be collected and distributed to the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul’s for those organizations to give to local families.
