ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – The recall effort against one Delta County commissioner is now a step closer to making it on the ballot in May of 2024.

The Delta County Citizens for Ethical Leadership have been circulating petitions in support of the recall of Commissioners David Moyle, Bob Barron, and Robert Petersen. The petition for Moyle’s district was turned in to the county clerk on September 25, and the petition for Barron’s district was turned in on October 5.

Circulators in Petersen’s district have until November to collect signatures.

The petition for Moyle’s district needed 666 signatures to be submitted. This week, Delta County Clerk Nancy Przewrocki verified 671 of the over 800 signatures collected.

According to Przewrocki, Moyle has until October 25 to challenge any of the signatures. If he does so, the remaining 91 signatures will be verified.
