ReMax Realty holds fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Over 1,500 Upper Peninsula families are recipients of help from the Children’s Miracle Network.

One local business has been supporting the network for the last 2 decades. If you were to look at how they raise funds you might think it looks like a party. Complete with bounce houses, raffles, and even a hot air balloon. But this event is about raising money to provide miracles.

“It’s a foundation that is created to help children that need medical attention, and those bills get expensive,” remarked Fran Sevenegney, the owner of ReMax Realty.

For the last 23 years ReMax Realty has been utilizing its network of agents to raise money for the children’s miracle network. Over $152,000 from the marquette office alone.

“Last year at this event we raised $32,000, I am pretty proud of what we have done here and it goes to such a good cause,” added Sevegney.

The hard work of the Remax agents has rubbed off to other businesses in the area. clean-n-kozy, a cleaning company started just this year, came on as platinum level sponsor of the event, the owners say getting involved with an organization like the children’s miracle network was a no brainer.

“It is just such a great cause for children with childhood cancer, and that is something that is close to our hearts,” commented Sara Renner, the Owner of Clean-N-Kozy.

The Children’s Miracle Network is an international organization, but a majority of the funds raised by the fundraiser today will go directly back to helping families in need right here at home.

“Over 1,500 families with children who have needed help have been served in the U.P,” said Sevengney.

The ReMax office in Marquette accepts donations year round for the children’s miracle network. Donations can be dropped off at their office located at 2854 Venture Dr in Marquette. To donate directly to the Children’s Miracle Network visit here.
