MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Leaders in the hospitality industry were in downtown Marquette Tuesday evening, discussing the new changes to their field. The Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association hosted a free hospitality industry mixer at the Vierling Restaurant.
The meeting brought hospitality leaders together to learn more about the resources MRLA offers and the challenges within the industry. One of the challenges leaders say that’s present in the hospitality industry now is filling the roles, and having conversations with other leaders throughout the state can help narrow down solutions that might fit each region.
“It’s important for us to be in tune for what’s going on through the state and what the differences are whether it’s Marquette, Houghton, Escanaba, it’s important to be in tune with the differences throughout the state and lower and upper peninsula,” commented Lodging Developing Manager Jennifer Sparrow.
