IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – In a bid to bolster the school district’s athletic programs, a local establishment is gearing up to host a noteworthy fundraiser tomorrow.
“Bimbo’s Wine Press,” a cherished culinary haven in Iron Mountain, is all set to play host to an event that promises to bring in much-needed support for the Iron Mountain athletes. The establishment is known for going the extra mile when it comes to fundraising, and this time is no different. The ovens are fired up, pizzas are generously laden with delectable toppings, and glasses are being filled to the brim – all in the name of raising funds for the school’s varsity volleyball team.
Having previously organized successful fundraisers that aided the Little League team, bolstered the boys’ basketball program, and extended a helping hand to community members battling illnesses, Bimbo’s Wine Press is now stepping up to bat for yet another varsity team. This time, the spotlight is on the hardworking members of the volleyball team.
As Sierra Ryan, a server at the establishment that’s been a local fixture for nearly a century, explained, a portion of the day’s proceeds will be dedicated to supporting the volleyball team’s endeavors.
“There will be a 50-50 raffle, there’s two baskets donated by range bank and incredible bank. And the proceeds all-day, some of it, will go to the volleyball team,” she shared.
The fundraiser will be in full swing from 11 A.M. tomorrow until the kitchen closes at 10 P.M.
