ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – This week, Bay College is welcoming students back to campus.
According to Travis Blume, Vice President of Student Services, enrollment is strong this semester for both traditional students and high schoolers taking dual enrollment classes.
Blume says thanks to the Michigan Reconnect program, more non-traditional students are getting their education at Bay College, creating more opportunities and a stronger workforce.
“The Reconnect Program is open to all programs,” he said. “We see a lot of students going into career programs, so it could be nursing, water tech, EMT, paramedic. Those kinds of things get students skills when they go out to the workforce.”
Blume says enrollment is still open at Bay College through the end of the week. Applications are available at the Student Services and Admissions offices. Click here for more information.
