The Pasty Fest takes place this Saturday, August 19, on 5th Street in Calumet from noon to 4 p.m.
This year, the event theme is “Pasty Fest Olympics!”
The full schedule of the main events is as follows:
Noon – Opening Ceremonies
1:00 p.m. – Pasty Relay
2:00 p.m. – Pasty Truck Pull
3:00 p.m. – Pasty Eating Competition
4:00 p.m. – Closing Ceremonies
There will also be a pasty bake-off, classic car show, art competition featuring a variety of pasty-themed art pieces, farmers market, flea market, and more.
Main Street Calumet and Visit Keweenaw invite all to celebrate the Copper Country’s rich mining history and passion for pasties. Consider volunteering to enjoy the event from a hands-on perspective and to give back to Main Street Calumet.
