ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Drivers in Escanaba will need to plan for a potentially longer commute for a few days next week.
The Michigan Department of Transportation begins a $550,000 resurfacing project on 1.9 miles of US-2 on Sunday, July 16.
The project extends from north of Ludington St. to 20th Avenue. Work includes asphalt milling and resurfacing.
Drivers should expect lane closures and traffic shifts. Most of the work will be done overnight.
MDOT expects to have the short project wrapped up by Tuesday, July 18.
