GWINN, Mich. (WZMQ) – It was a rocking weekend in Gwinn for the first ever summer concert hosted by the Big 3.
The organization, founded, aims to highlight the fun and entertaining events the small community of Gwinn has to offer.
Funding to bring in the artists which included Emily Anne Roberts, a contestant on the voice, and rising artists Jordan Harvey and Gabe Bailey, was provided by fundraising efforts and sponsorships from community members and local businesses.
A golf cart, donated by Meijer Yamaha, was raffled off to raise money for the concert.
The concert was a massive success for the community selling over 700 tickets which exceeded the expectations of organizers.
“We have just a lot of people in this town who have a lot of pride in their town and j want to see it do well, and not only that but just to see the community and the people in the community thrive, we just try to keep that rolling for everyone,” commented Jessica Styar, an organizer of the event.
Organizers say that they are already looking forward to hosting another summer concert next year.
