MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Epic Kids Kamp has come back for the summer to keep kids having fun, learning new skills, and growing their imagination.
Each day at Epic, kids will be told a new tale about an “adventurer” in the Upper Peninsula. When hearing tales about adventurers, kids are encouraged to make new stories and are taught to be confident and proud of themselves, and their imagination.
“Today was Walking Willy, tomorrow is Lost Luke, Frontier Fred’s gonna come visit,” says Charise Baker, an early childhood provider/consultant at Epic. “By Friday we’re hoping the kids will take over and tell their own stories, make up their own tales.”
Throughout the day kids will be given make and take crafts that relate to the adventurer they learned about, and once their craft is done they are given a campfire theme snack that rounds out the end of the afternoon.
Epic Kids Kamp runs Monday through Friday 10:30-12:30pm and sign up is still available here, but will end Tuesday, June 27th.
