ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – An 80s cover band and an Upper Peninsula native will take the stage at the U.P. State Fair on Wednesday, August 16.
The Glam Band is comprised of six performers who bring their audience back to the 80s with an “over-the-top” stage show, makeup, costumes, and “glam metal” era music. The group promises a high-energy show and a multi-sensory experience.
Helen DeBaker-Vorce of Escanaba will open for The Glam Band. She last performed at the U.P. State Fair in 2021. DeBaker-Vorce has participated in many country music contests throughout her career, even winning first-place awards at the Wrangler Country Showdown.
