GWINN, Mich. (WZMQ) – The city of Gwinn has launched its own new Farmers and Artisans Market. The Modeltown Market will run until September 14th at Peter Nordeen Park.
Every Thursday from 3-6 pm, community members can enjoy different vendors carrying produce, fresh chicken, and quail eggs as well as herbed butter. The market also has drop-in vendors, other people are allowed to set up tables without actually having to be seasonal vendors. Organizers hope this will help the market draw in a bigger crowd.
“I think it’s exciting for Gwinn to have new vendors I know the town has been really supportive of having a farmers market here for them to just have another opportunity to shop, look for handmade items and not have to leave your community to be able to do it I think will be something really special for the people of Gwinn,” said Organizer Tammy Wills.
Gwinn’s new market will also be hosting free live music starting June 1st.
