There is so much buzz surrounding the NFL Draft this weekend for fans everywhere. For most it’s about adding pieces so that your favorite team might win a Super Bowl. But for Ewen Trout-Creek graduate and former NMU Offensive Tackle Jake Witt, it’s about a dream being realized. They say one day can change your whole life, and for Jake – that day was his Pro Day at Central Michigan University.
Jake Witt is likely to hear his name called this weekend in Kansas City, which would make him the first NMU Player drafted since Mark Maddox was taken in the 9th round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills and will look to be the first U.P. Native to earn a regular season roster spot in the league since Houghton native Chuck Klingbeil was on the 1995 Miami Dolphins roster.
