DELTA COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – A national organization is looking for families in Delta County to welcome exchange students into their homes.
The Pan Atlantic Foundation connects international students with families throughout the United States. Students attend school, participate in community activities, and experience American life with their host family for up to ten months.
This fall will be the foundation’s first time bringing students to Delta County from overseas.
“It strikes me as an area that’s very close-knit, that’s very active,” said area coordinator Jennifer King. “Lots of different opportunities and diverse types of families. I like areas where communities work together and support each other, because I think that’s a really important thing.”
Anyone can apply to host, from large families and empty nesters to single individuals and same-sex couples.
