MANKATO, Minn. (WZMQ) – Saturday night, the NMU Wildcats will take on Minnesota State in the CCHA Mason Cup championship
The ‘Cats head into the game as one of the hottest college hockey teams in the country. They’re on a 7 game winning streak including beating rival Michigan Tech in the CCHA semifinal on March 11th.
Northern faced Minnesota 4 times this season losing 3 of the match ups.
NMU head coach Grant Potulny says in order for his team to bring home a CCHA title they need to stay focused.
“We’ve got to stay out of the box, that’s the number 1 thing,” Remarked Potulny at a press conference earlier this week. He went on to say “we have got to have great discipline.”
