Bay de Noc Gardening Conference registration closes April 1

ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Registration for the Bay de Noc Gardening Conference is closing soon.

The 23rd annual conference will take place on Saturday, April 15 at Bay College. Anyone interested in attending must register by April 1.

Participants can choose four of sixteen classes to attend, with topics ranging from indoor succulents to food preservation.

According to Bay de Noc Gardening Association volunteer Warren Schauer, gardeners of any skill level are encouraged to attend.

“People like gardening,” Schauer said. “I think it’s one of the most popular hobbies in the country, and this is a good time of the year. People are starting to think about gardening, getting out in the yard, so it’s a good outdoor activity you can do with family.”

The cost to register is $45.00 per person. That fee includes refreshments in the morning and a box lunch.

Registration forms can be found in Gardening Conference brochures. In Escanaba, brochures are available at Tractor Supply, Healthway, Mel’s Lawn and Garden, Wickert Floral, and Pam’s Petals. Brochures are available in Marquette at Flower Works and Forsbergs…a New Leaf. For a digital brochure, email DeltaCountyMGA@gmail.com. Registration forms must be postmarked by April 1.
