MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Some UP universities digital ticketing services are experiencing a system shut down this week. Northern Michigan and Michigan Technological University’s third party purchasing system, audience view, experienced a security threat earlier this week.
The system shut down to protect credit card information and ensure its platforms security. NMU has now switched to in person purchasing until the system is back up. NMU’s Athletic Director Rick Comley said “we’re adjusting fine, it was a shock to everybody but it’s not just northern or tech, it’s kind of all over the country. everyone is going to get in, everyone is going to be treated very fairly and evenly. we might have a little bit of congestion by Friday night for game time but all in all it’s working very well.”
Tickets for Basketball and Hockey games as well as the university’s current play Salome can be purchased at The Berry Events Center from 10 am until 5 pm. Audience View said it’ll be a week or more before the system will be running again.
