ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Few details have been released about a house fire in Escanaba Monday morning.
Escanaba Public Safety Department reports the fire happened around 11 a.m. at 208 S 4th St. in the city.
The caller reported flames coming out of an upstairs window. When firefighters arrived, an upstairs room at the back of the house was completely engulfed.
Firefighters began with an attack line on the exterior of the home before moving inside the home.
No other details are known. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Escanaba Public Safety was assisted at the scene by the Ford River Volunteer Fire Department, City of Escanaba Electric Department, City of Escanaba Water Department, Rampart EMS, DTE, the Red Cross, and the Delta County Central Dispatch Center.
