MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) — A missing 11-year-old Marquette girl has been found, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday evening.
She was located around 4:15 p.m. and returned home safely.
Marquette County Search and Rescue, Marquette City Police, Michigan State Police and tips from the public helped with the search, according to the sheriff’s office.
EARLIER: The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate an 11-year-old female that went missing Wednesday morning.
Davida Patrice Fortin was last seen leaving a residence in the Trowbridge Park area of Marquette Township at about 8:15 am.
Fortin is 5’4″ tall, with reddish colored hair that is shaved on the left side. She was last seen wearing light colored purple pants with flowers on them, a white shirt that possibly had a skull on it, black boots, and a light blue jacket.
Anyone with information that may assist in locating Fortin is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at (906)225-8441. The Sheriff’s Office is also asking if anyone knows of Fortin’s current location to call 911.
The Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by volunteers of Search and Rescue and the Marquette City Police Department.
