MOCKTAILS — Mocktails are non-alcoholic drinks that provide an inclusive alternative for those to still socialize and celebrate the new year without pressure of drinking.

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Marquette’s Landmark Inn will have a night of festivities tomorrow to celebrate the upcoming new year in their cocktail lounge, the Crow’s Nest, providing mocktails for those who are looking for non-alcoholic alternatives.

Mocktails contain zero-proof alcohol, letting people enjoy a drink without the pressure of not drinking or feeling left out when going out with friends to various bars, cocktail lounges and restaurants.

“I think having mocktails allows people who don’t normally go out to go out and be with their friends and still enjoy a nice beverage,” Allie Johnson, bar manager at the Crow’s Nest, said. “It’s just important to have a space where everyone can come together and not feel left out, regardless of your choices if you want to drink or don’t want to drink.”

The Crow’s Nest will be open tomorrow for New Year’s Eve from 5 pm to midnight. To check out their full winter menu, click here.
