Marquette, Mich (WZMQ) – Veterans connect is an event coming up on November 12th. This meet-and-greet event is inclusive to everyone, promoting more veterans and locals to head on over to the American Legion Post 44.
Aimed at bringing more people and veterans to show the American Legion, Veteran Service Officer Richard Jacobson says this helps teach veterans about the services they might not be aware of. “This is more of a family to where a veteran or a son, an auxiliary member can come in and talk with other people kind of do a networking thing and like I said kids are always welcome, spouses are always welcome”, said Jacobson.
The Alliants and the American legions will be pulling in more districts outside of Marquette County to spread more awareness of these support services.
