Road work planned on US-2 in Manistique

MANISTIQUE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Michigan Department of Transportation begins road work on US-2 in Manistique on Monday, August 29.

MDOT will resurface about 0.8 miles of US-2 in the City of Manistique from west of Chippewa Avenue to the Manistique River Bridge.

The $555,000 project includes road resurfacing, aggregate shoulders, and pavement marking.

Drivers can expect lane closures with traffic regulators. A lane width restriction of 12 feet will also be in place during construction.

MDOT expects the project to be complete by September 30.
