Marquette City Fest this Saturday

by Joe Sigourney

A A

For family fun entertainment this weekend look no further than City Fest here in Marquette. Events include, American Idol finalist Danny Gokey, Americas got talent Champions Forever, illusionist David and Teesha Laflin, Stunt Dudes, and much more. There will also be a kids zone, inflatables, and food vendors on-site and to top it all off it’s a free event happening at the Westwood mall from 4-9 pm on Saturday.

“Everybody could just use a little bit of hope to get on and you know keep moving forward,” said City Fest volunteer Miranda Wachnicki-Slater.
“We’ve heard so many times people say that this is God’s country and we just really want to keep it that way and you know that the UP has been such a wonderful place and we just want to keep it growing and keep giving them hope.”

There is grandstand seating but organizers recommend bringing a lawn chair so you can be comfortable throughout the night.
