Marquette Fire Department recently added a new firetruck.
The Pierce truck went into service two days ago.
It replaces a truck that went out of service several months ago.
The firetruck comes secondhand from a fire station in Wisconsin after the department was unable to acquire a new engine.
“Beginning of this year, we ordered a new truck,” said Brandon Cory, Marquette Fire Department. “With COVID and everything, it’s taking up to two years to build a truck right now. Just for lack of supplies and everything, we got this truck to hopefully bridge the gap from when our old truck went down to getting the new one.”
