City of Escanaba Police arrested a man for driving under the influence of drugs after a single-vehicle, rollover crash early Wednesday morning, according to a news release.
Fred Patterson was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs – third offense.
The crash was reported around 12:54 a.m. on Danforth Rd. east of the train crossing.
Patterson was driving west on Danforth Rd. when his vehicle went into a ditch on the opposite side of the road, went airborne and flipped over, hitting and severing a utility pole, police said.
The vehicle came to a rest on its roof, and Patterson was able to free himself, according to police.
He was not injured in the crash.
