Marquette Changes Garbage Policy

by Scott Minshall
July 17, 2022
A A

In May the city of Marquette implemented a change to their city garbage collection policy. As shortages of supplies continue to spread across all industries the city has found in impossible to find more of the Green city branded bags residents have had to purchase in the past in order to have their garbage collected from the curb.

The city found it easier to get stickers to identify bags that need to be collected and will sell them for $13.50 for a sheet of 10. The stickers can be purchased at the Waste Management Transfer Station, Tadych’s, Super One Foods, and The Marquette Food Co-Op.

Their is still a limited amount of the old City Bags available and they will continue to be collected until the remaining inventory runs out.
