The City of Marquette will be closing a portion of Peter White Drive in Presque Isle Park to help with the safe migration of the blue-spotted salamander, according to an announcement on the city’s website.
The southwest bend of Peter White Dr. from Moosewood Nature Center to the gate north of the pavilion will be close to vehicles daily at 8 p.m. from March 21 to April 30 or until the migration is over.
Road barricades will be placed and removed daily.
Foot traffic is still permitted during regular park hours.
