MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – 1st Congressional District Seat Candidate Callie Barr has broken a second fundraising record for the district during her 2026 campaign.
Back in July, Barr’s team reported over $440,000 in donations for her second campaign quarter of 2026. The Democrat announced last week that the 3rd quarter, between July 1 through September 30, brought in $725,000.. breaking the previous record set by Jack Bergman in 2016 at $590,000.
“There’s so many people who believe in what we’re doing,” Barr told WZMQ 19 News. “Because of that, we broke those records, and that has meant we’ve been able to message and talk to people around this district, and people are excited about that message.”
Barr and incumbent Bergman are on the November 3 ballot for the district.. one Bergman has held for nearly 10 years.
