HARRIS, Mich. (WZMQ) – A brand new pop culture convention kicks off Friday evening at The Island Resort & Casino.
Through Saturday, October 24, the Island Convention Center is packed with more than 40 vendors for the inaugural REZ-CON. Attendees can browse a wide selection of collectibles and crafts, enter a cosplay contest, and participate in video game, board game, and trivia tournaments. They will also have an opportunity to meet movie stars Linnea Quigley and Michael Berryman, as well as voice actors Michael Guinn, Michelle Ruff, and Thessaly Lerner.
“Our whole crew is really proud of this, that we are able to do this, and it’s our first chance,” said Island Entertainment Manager Vicki Griggs. “It’s $10, $15 for both days. You might find something you really want to do. It’s amazing.”
REZ-CON continues Friday until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first 500 guests to register will have a chance to win a Nintendo Switch 2: Super Smash Bros. Edition, thanks to Fire Station Cannabis Co. Other prizes will be awarded throughout the event.
Tickets will be available at the door, but attendees can purchase theirs in advance by stopping by The Island Club or visiting islandresortandcasino.com/rez-con.
