MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Range Bank launched its SaveUp Give Back campaign earlier this month, giving community members a chance to vote on which local nonprofits receive a share of $10,000 dollars in donations.
The campaign works alongside Range Bank’s SaveUp program, which automatically rounds up customers’ debit card purchases and transfers the spare change into savings. Range Bank will match those round-ups and distribute the funds to the top vote-getters. Twelve non-profits are featured in the vote, including the 906 Adventure Team, organizations covering veterans service, housing assistance, and more.
Community Outreach Coordinator Hanna Westra says even organizations that don’t finish in the top three benefit from the campaign. “The first place organization will receive $5,000 dollars, the second place will receive $3,000 dollars, and the third place will receive $2,000 dollars,” says Westra.” Even if an organization does not necessarily receive funds, the campaign will still bring awareness to their cause, and they’ll be able to possibly collect funds through a different avenue then.”
Voting is open through December 15th at rangebank.com.
