WATERSMEET, Mich. (WZMQ) – A world-renound magician hailing from Northern Wisconsin will soon host a thrilling performance in the Upper Peninsula.
On October 24 2026, at exactly 7:00 p.m. Aron Houdini, a distant nephew of Harry Houdini, will present a special tribute show in his home region at Northern Waters Casino Resort in Watersmeet.
The once-in-a-lifetime event will feature a magic, mind reading and illusion show culminating in ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Escape.’ In this high-stakes tribute, Aron Houdini will attempt to escape a straitjacket while confined in a crate with the world’s most venomous snake, the Inland Taipan. Having secured an interstate commerce transfer for the snake, and securing a 20-million dollar insurance policy for the event, Houdini says the show is set and ready to go.
“I’ve dedicated my life to this, I don’t think I’m needed to carry on the legacy of the family, but I hope that people are entertained by it,” he said. “It’s a form of art that people don’t see as much anymore, and I want people to enjoy that.”
This performance will take place exactly 100 years to the minute after Harry Houdini’s final performance, which also occurred in Michigan. The event will honor Harry Houdini on the 100th Year Anniversary of his death on October 31, 1926.
Tickets for the show can be found here.
