MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A new breakfast restaurant has made its way to Marquette.
Earl E. Byrds began in Munising back in 2021 and has now expanded its name 40 miles west, with a new location at 102 W Washington Street. Owners and partners cut its ceremonial ribbon on Wednesday morning.
The original idea for the restaurant was to offer an affordable menu of comfort foods. Owners Tom and Ana Dolaskie say that’s exactly what they’ve brought to the area.
“Marquette just seemed like a natural next step,” said Ana. “We have omelets, skillets, and what I consider the best pancakes around, but really what we wanted to bring to the community is value.”
After opening its doors to customers at the end of August, the family restaurant has already become very popular with the Marquette community. While serving breakfast and lunch options, the restaurant also carries its own coffee brand through it’s sister company, Gallery Coffee. Gallery will also open a storefront at a later date right around the corner from Earl E. Byrds.
The restaurant is now open daily from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. a full menu and more details can be found here.
