MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – This week, the Marquette Board of Light and Power is holding a special giveaway to its customers for free energy saving items.
In cooperation with Detroit based company SEEL, the pop up event is being held at Ore Dock Brewing Company through Thursday, September 17 from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Items up for grabs are as follows:
Home Energy Efficiency Kits:
- Tier 1 advanced power strips
- ENERGY STAR air purifier
- LED nightlights
- For homes with electric water heating: low-flow faucet aerators, pipe wraps and low-flow showerheads
Small Business Energy Efficiency Kits:
- LED nightlights
- Tier 1 advanced power strips
- 4-inch LED tube replacements
- For businesses with electric water heating: low-flow faucet aerators and pipe wraps
This is the first time this event has been put on by the board, and hopes to service its community by improving comfort and helping save on electric bills.
