MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Families in the Marquette area will have another opportunity to pick up free food next week.
Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift are teaming up with Feeding America West Michigan to host a Mobile Food Pantry on Thursday, September 10, at Silver Creek Church, 219 Silver Creek Road in Harvey.
The drive-thru distribution starts at 10 a.m. and will continue until 11:30 a.m., or while supplies last. Organizers expect to have enough food for about 600 families.
People picking up food are asked to stay in their vehicles. Parking lot attendants will direct traffic, and guests should make sure there is enough room in their trunk or back seat for volunteers to place the food boxes inside.
