MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Northern Michigan University has unveiled a new banking partnership for both students and alumni.
Collegiate Credit Union and AlumniFi are now the face of campus’s active financial platform. The Michigan State University backed programs focus on providing a learning experience, hoping to help students build healthier money habits both during and after college.
On Monday morning, on the first day of the 2026 fall semester, Collegiate and NMU staff cut a celebratory ribbon to commemmorate the beginning of its five-year service contract.
“Our hope is that as a student, you would open a Collegiate account and upon graduation you’d move into the AlumniFi version of the accounts,” explained Collegiate President & CEO, April Clobes. “We have tools that will span your entire financial journey as an adult.”
The university also plans to offer more ATM’s across campus, alongside NMU branded debit cards upon signing up with the new service.
